Uzbekistan Airways suspends flights to Tokyo and Rome as coronavirus fears persist
From March 1, Uzbekistan Airways has suspended regular flights to Tokyo and Rome due to outbreak of coronavirus in Japan and Italy.
“Uzbekistan Airways has announced the temporary suspension of regular flights to Tokyo and Rome from March 1, 2020 due to outbreak of coronavirus in Japan and Italy and in order to prevent the spread of this virus in the territory of Uzbekistan,” the report said.
The company recalled that together with the Health Ministry of the Republic, increased safety measures were introduced on all flights of the airline, including sanitary-quarantine measures and medical-sanitary control of people crossing the state border of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Earlier, it became known that Uzbekistan Airways suspended regular flights to Seoul from March 1 due to an outbreak of coronavirus.
