Paying administrative fine within 15 days may cause its reduction
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed the law “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan” (March 17, 2020).
The document has introduced appropriate amendments and additions to a number of laws. In particular, the Code of Administrative Responsibility is supplemented by Article 332-1, which provides for a simplified procedure for paying a fine. The article states:
If the offender voluntarily pays seventy percent of the fine within fifteen days from the delivery of the decision to impose the fine, he is exempt from paying the remaining amount of the fine, with the exception of cases included in part two of this article.
The simplified procedure for the execution of a fine is not applied in the following cases:
- imposition of a fine by the court for an administrative offense;
- appeal or protest against the decision to impose a fine;
- repeated commission of the same offense within a year after the application of the penalty.
