MIA warns drivers about liability for violating restrictions on the use of cars without special permission during the quarantine period
The head of the MIA press service Shohrukh Giyasov presented information about the restriction of traffic movement.
“A special permit issued by the Ministry of Justice will be attached to the back of the sticker allowing the use of the vehicle. The movement of vehicles without these stickers is prohibited.
This sticker gives the right to move between regions. It should be used only for vehicles belonging to the organization, the transport of which should not be abused for personal benefit,” Shohruh Giyasov said at a March 26 briefing.
The ministerial official warned that there is a liability for driving private cars except for exceptional cases.
“Citizens are allowed to use their own vehicles only to drive to and from medical facilities when emergency medical care is needed. If one drives a private vehicle except for such cases, the driver will be held administratively liable under Article 54 of the Administrative Responsibility Code,” Kun.uz correspondent quotes the ministry’s representative as saying.
Reportedly, licensed taxi drivers are not allowed to carry passengers, they are only allowed to travel to perform a courier (home delivery) service.
