Pension payments to be gradually transferred to bank cards

In order to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, on the recommendation of the Special Republican Commission, measures are being taken to pay salaries and pensions to the population on bank cards, the Central Bank said.
 
It was noted that at present, all organizational work has been started in this direction together with local khokimiyats, banks, territorial subdivisions of the Treasury under the Ministry of Finance and the off-budgetary Pension Fund and its territorial subdivisions. 

It provides for the payment of pensions in the following manner:

- at the initial stage, starting from May this year, pension payments of the population living in the cities of Tashkent and Nukus, as well as regional centers will be carried out through bank cards;

- starting from the subsequent months, these measures will be gradually continued in the remaining areas.

At the same time, retirees are not required to go to the branches of the People’s Bank to open and obtain bank cards.
