Former head of Uzbekistan Airways becomes responsible for working with compatriots living abroad

The former head of Uzbekistan Airways, Senator Valery Tyan has been appointed to a new position.

According to a government decree, he has been appointed deputy chairman of the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendship Cooperation with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers.

He will be responsible for foreign relations and work with compatriots. Before him, this post was held by Erkin Hamrayev.

To note, Valery Tyan has headed the company Uzbekistan Airways for almost 15 years.

He was awarded “Mehnat Shuhrati” (“Labor Glory”), “Dustlik” (“Friendship”) and “Fidokorona Xizmatlari Uchun” (“For Selfless Services”) orders.
