Uzbekistan launches high-speed freight train to Afghanistan
Now, the delivery of goods from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan takes two days – not 5-6 as before.
Uzbekistan Railways has launched regular high-speed freight trains to Hairatan station in Afghanistan.
According to the Ministry of Transport, Uzbekistan Railways JSC has created additional convenience for domestic exporters through organizing regular high-speed freight trains to Hairatan, Afghanistan.
“The main part of the freight train is formed in the capital, and along the route, additional freight wagons are added to it in the regions,” the statement said.
Before, it used to take from 5 to 6 days for goods to reach Afghanistan from Tashkent. Now, entrepreneurs, having filled an application, can expect goods to be delivered within two days.
This train will operate three times a week, based on schedule, the JSC said.
