Uzbekistan sends rescuers to Kazakhstan to eliminate consequences of the flood
Rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan arrived in the Maktaaral district, Turkestan region to assist in the elimination of the flood caused by the dam breakthrough at the Sardoba reservoir, Kazinform reported with reference to the press service of the emergency committee under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.
Currently, due to the lack of a threat of flooding, the population of 12 settlements (22,768 people) has returned to their homes.
Within the framework of assistance in eliminating the consequences of emergencies, the forces and resources of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan additionally arrived in the Yrysty village, Maktaaral district: 205 personnel, 38 pieces of equipment, 85 motor-pump are involved.
A tent camp has been set up for rescuers at the place of deployment.
