“Quarantine rule violators will be brought to administrative responsibility” – Uzbekistan resumes domestic air and rail operations
The Special Republican Commission for combating the coronavirus infection has approved additional measures to ease lockdown.
According to the decision, from May 18 flights between Tashkent and Nukus, Urgench, Termez will resume.
In addition, from May 18, the movement of the high-speed “Afrosiyob” train to Navoi, Bukhara and Karshi, as well as passenger trains to the Fergana Valley, will begin.
At the same time, the relevant departments and individuals are required to comply with all quarantine rules.
In particular, the number of passengers should be limited, specialists must always carry out appropriate disinfection works and everyone must comply with sanitary requirements.
The Special Republican Commission also approved a temporary regulation on the procedure for the provision of services and compliance with the rules of air and rail transport during the quarantine period. Violators of the rules will be brought to administrative responsibility.
Earlier it was reported that Uzbekistan extended the quarantine period until June 1.
