School graduates to receive certificates in electronic form
Due to established quarantine measures, graduates of secondary schools will receive certificates in an electronic form this academic year.
“2019-2020 academic year graduates will receive state certificates in an electronic form (scanned),” the press service of the Ministry of Education reported.
The certificates themselves will be stored in educational institutions. Graduates will be able to take them after quarantine.
To remind, all preschool, secondary and higher educational institutions in Uzbekistan have been closed from March 16 to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Earlier, the Minister of Education, Sherzod Shermatov, noted that the school year will end on May 25 as usual.
According to him, institutions included in the public education system will finish the current school year with remote television video lessons.
“With regard to exams, the Special Republican Commission, the Ministry of Public Education and relevant state bodies are considering ways to conduct examinations and final state exams for 5-11 grade students or their cancellation. Accurate information will soon be formally announced. However, I would recommend that students study for their own sake, and not for the sake of exams, and do not miss online lessons,” the minister said on May 2 during a press conference.
