Research Centre for Cooperation on E-Government to be opened in Tashkent

South Korea will donate $2 million for this project and will deploy highly qualified experts.

In the South Korea-Uzbekistan business center located in Incheon, the Uzbek Embassy in Seoul organized talks between the employees of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security of South Korea, the Dunyo information agency reports.

“The representatives of South Korea noted that in accordance with previous agreements, they plan to provide $2 million for the project free of charge, and also to send three highly qualified experts on e-government and digital economy,” the report says.

The parties agreed to speed up the process of establishing a joint research center for cooperation on e-government in Tashkent.

It is noted that when the main parameters of the project are finalized, the South Korean side expressed its readiness to send specialists to Uzbekistan for the practical start of the research center’s activities.
