Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to India
On June 18, 2020, Dilshod Akhatov, who was appointed Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India, left Tashkent for New Delhi.
Uzbekistan has appointed new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to India, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
It was noted that on June 18, 2020, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov left Tashkent for Delhi.
Dilshod Akhatov was born on June 28, 1972, in the city of Kattakurgan, Samarkand region. He graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Tashkent) and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
He previously served as Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan. He also worked as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Republic of Germany, Head of the FM Department for Cooperation with European Countries and NATO.
It should be recalled that in late February this year, Ambassador to India Farhod Arziyev became First Deputy Foreign Minister.
