Orhan Sivrikaya appointed Deputy Head of Uzbekistan Airways
Orhan Sivrikaya has been appointed Deputy Head of JSC Uzbekistan Airways.
A specialist from Turkey was invited as an advisor on the strategic development of Uzbekistan Airways in 2017. The scope of his activities included participation in working out a strategy for the development of the airline, optimization of the schedule and planning of the aircraft fleet, marketing and sales, introduction of information technology.
Born in 1967, Orhan Sivrikaya graduated from Boğaziçi University (Industrial Engineering) in 1991, and then earned his master’s degree from Istanbul Okan University (M.S. in Industrial Engineering) in 1997.
He has worked in several high-ranking positions in Turkey, Europe and North America, proving himself as a specialist in airline management and planning, new business models, risk management, as well as marketing and revenue management. He also served as Vice President of Turkish Airlines.
In 2015, he was named as the “Best Marketing Director of the Year” in Turkey.
