Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow awards Ozodbek Nazarbekov
The President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, signed a decree conferring the honorary title “Honored Artist of Turkmenistan” to the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan, Ozodbek Nazarbekov.
According to the decree, Ozodbek Nazarbekov is awarded the honorary title “Honored Artist of Turkmenistan” for the great services in strengthening friendly and partnership relations between the countries and in promoting long-standing Turkmen-Uzbek cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Ozodbek Nazarbekov held the post of Deputy Minister of Culture in 2017-2020, and in January 2020, he was appointed Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan.
He was also appointed rector of the newly established National Institute of Musical Art named after Yunus Rajabi.
