Rospotrebnadzor experts to provide advisory assistance in treating coronavirus patients in Uzbekistan
As part of the fight against the coronavirus infection COVID-19, seven specialists – epidemiologists, virologists, infectious disease specialists of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-being – arrived in Uzbekistan on a special flight from Russia, UzA reported.
Rospotrebnadzor employees will provide advisory assistance until September 5, 2020, at the Agency for Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and its subordinate organizations.
During this visit, Russian experts intend to get acquainted with the current epidemic situation in the country. They will also study in detail the mechanisms of work of epidemiological surveillance, laboratories and medical institutions focused on the therapy of coronavirus patients.
The members of the delegation will visit medical institutions in Tashkent, Samarkand and Jizzakh regions.
During their stay, specialists from the Russian Federation will conduct scientific-practical events, online consultations, and also work out the possibility of introducing Russian practices in the fight against COVID-19 in Uzbekistan.
Earlier, 40 doctors from Russia came to Uzbekistan to assist in the treatment of coronavirus patients. The group included resuscitators, pulmonologists, infectious disease specialists, cardiologists and endocrinologists.
