Employee of Zafarabad district khokimiyat caught red-handed while taking bribe
Documents on the case have been forwarded to the Investigation Department of the Jizzakh DIA.
On August 19, Jizzakh Department of internal Affairs received a complaint from a resident of the Pakhtakor district, the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes reports.
The mentioned citizen reported that on August 17, a stranger, introducing himself as the Deputy khokim of the Zafarabad district, said that there are 40 acres of land in the Buston mahalla and that for $12,000 he could get permission for the construction of a wedding hall here. In his complaint, the citizen demanded to file a lawsuit against the so-called deputy khokim.
On the same day, the Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes conducted an operational event.
During the event, an employee of the Zafarabad district khokimiyat was detained while receiving $8,000 of the $12,000 initially demanded. Officers seized $8,000 of cash and copies of the passport belonging to the claimant as material evidence.
All the documents were sent to the Investigation Department of the Jizzakh DIA.
