Road worker hit by car, killed in Tashkent
The accident occurred on the night of August 30 on Furqat Street of Tashkent, near the “Yalpiz” café.
According to the Road Traffic Safety Department, an intoxicated driver of a Nexia-3 car, 31, was driving at a high speed with the headlights switched off, when he came across the section of the road that was being repaired. Despite road signs, he crashed through the metal railing and hit a road worker, 26.
As a result, the worker died at the scene of the accident.


The police department of the Shaykhontohur district is conducting a preliminary investigation.
