Additional premium to be paid for hand-picked cotton in a number of districts

The resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On measures to organize the cotton harvest in 2020” has been adopted.

According to UzA, for each kilogram of hand-picked raw cotton in a number of districts, an additional 200 soums will be paid to the set tariff rate.

These districts include:

All districts of Jizzakh, Syrdarya and Tashkent regions;
Kanlikul, Karauzak, Kegeyli, Kungrad, Takhtakupir, Khojayli, Shumanay, Chimbay and Nukus districts of Karakalpakstan;
Koson, Muborak, Mirishkor, Nishan, Kasbi, Karshi districts of the Kashkadarya region;
Kizirik, Bandikhan, Muzrabat and Sherabad districts of the Surkhandarya region.

The Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, regional and district khokimiyats are personally responsible for preventing and combating forced labor.
