Two dead, three injured in car accident in Jizzakh

A fatal traffic accident occurred on the evening of September 9 on the “Tashkent-Samarkand” road, passing through the territory of the Sharaf-Rashidov district, Jizzakh region.

According to the Investigation Department, a Lacetti driver collided with a car of the same brand, hitting its left rear part. Then, by inertia, the car broke through the concrete barrier separating the lanes, driving into the oncoming lane, where it crashed into a Kia truck.

According to preliminary reports, the Lacetti that drove into the oncoming lane caught fire, which caused the immediate death of the driver and one passenger, while three other passengers were taken to a hospital.

The other Lacetti overturned due to collision; fortunately, the driver and his passenger were not injured, the driver of the Kia truck is also reported fine.
