Uzbekistan’s position improves in the global passport index
In accordance with the report of the Henley & Partners, a London based consulting firm that annually releases a ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can enter visa-free, Uzbekistan occupied the 83rd place. The report was published on Tuesday, October 13.
In the list compiled by Henley & Partners, Uzbekistan went up by three lines and occupied the 83rd place. According to the rating, citizens of Uzbekistan can visit 57 countries visa-free or obtain a visa upon arrival.
Uzbekistan shared the 83rd place with Côte d’Ivoire and Gabon.
Japan has the most “powerful” passport in the world, which allows its citizens to visit 191 countries without a visa. Singapore is in second place with 190 countries, followed by South Korea and Germany. Their citizens can enter 189 countries visa-free or obtain a visa upon arrival.
Among the CIS countries, Russia ranks 48th (117 countries), Belarus and Kazakhstan – 67th (75), Azerbaijan – 73rd (67), Armenia – 77th (63), Tajikistan – 82nd (58) and Turkmenistan – 87th (53).
Afghanistan is at the bottom of the list. Citizens of this country have the right to enter 26 countries without a visa.
