Forest fire breaks out in Kashkadarya

Wildfire occurred in Kashkadarya. The Kashkadarya regional ecology department told Kun.uz.

The fire broke out in the “Igri Suv-2” forestry unit located in the Kamashi district of the region. The fire damaged 5 hectares of land. As a result, unique trees, flora and fauna in the area have suffered great losses. In particular, about 500-600 Zarafshan spruces were burnt.

The cause of the fire, the amount of damage is currently being calculated. No casualties were reported. Currently, the fire has been extinguished.
