Magnitude 5 earthquake hits Fergana region
Mild tremors were felt in Uzbekistan on November 6 at 12:38, after an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 hit Kyrgyzstan, the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
According to the RCSPM, the depth of the quake was 10 km, coordinates: 40.16 degrees north latitude; 71.72 degrees east longitude. The distance from the epicenter to Tashkent is 244 km in the southeast direction.
The strength of tremors on the territory of Uzbekistan:
• Tashkent: 244 km, 2 points
• Namangan: 93 km, 3 points
• Andijan: 87 km, 4 points
• Fergana: 26 km, 5 points
• Gulistan: 252 km, 2 points
In other regions of Uzbekistan, seismic activity was not recorded. No casualties have been reported so far.
