Homeowner associations liquidated in Kashkadarya region
Instead of homeowner associations, there will be created management organizations.
According to the press service of the Regional Office of Housing and Public Utilities, there are currently 161 homeowner associations operating in 1,903 multi-storey houses in Kashkadarya.
“However, these partnerships do not perform their work properly. Many apartment buildings in the region have been seriously damaged due to the fact that roofing, basement, communication systems, playgrounds and adjacent territories were not repaired by enterprises for many years,” the report says.
It is noted that people have lost confidence in these organizations and have not paid their contributions. As a result, public arrears in mandatory contributions exceeded 3.5 billion soums. The quality of services has deteriorated. In the last three years, all the repairs of the multi-storey houses were carried out with funds from the local budget.
According to the law “On the Management of Apartment Houses”, the region intends to create 10 managing organizations, which will serve 694 multi-storey houses. The relevant agencies are currently discussing these issues with the public.
