Rosselkhoznadzor partially lifts ban on import of Uzbek tomatoes and peppers
Rosselkhoznadzor has allowed the import of tomatoes and peppers from 7 enterprises located in the Fergana region to Russia starting from December 18. The information service of the Uzdavkarantin inspection reported.
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, the decision was made on the basis of information provided by the State Inspectorate for Plant Quarantine under the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the study in the territory of the Fergana region and the analysis of greenhouses.
At the initial stage, tomato products produced by Golden Tree LLC (Koshtepa district), Farkhod Rancho FX (Kuvasoy city), Fergana Ziyo Kuruvchi LLC (Kuvasoy city) and pepper products produced by Novaya Volna FX (Oltiarik district), Jilokor Zamini LLC (Dangara district), Saodatli Dil Farovon LLC (Dangara district) and Yuldashev Eldor LLC (Besharik district) have been allowed to import.
The State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate said it is working with Rosselkhoznadzor to coordinate joint measures to lift the temporary restrictions.
