Shavkat Mirziyoyev talks with leaders of Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan over the phone
On December 30, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the presidents of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Talant Mamytov.
During the conversation with Tokayev, the parties spoke in favor of further enhancing cooperation, promoting trade and investment projects, deepening collaboration in industry, agriculture, transport and energy sectors. Special attention was paid to the continuation of close contacts between the regions of the two countries, implementation of a rich program of cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The Presidents also exchanged views on prospects for regional cooperation and discussed the schedule of the upcoming events at the highest level.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished the President of Kazakhstan a successful chairmanship in the Eurasian Economic Union in 2021.
With the President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed joint plans to enhance multifaceted cooperation in 2021, as well as the schedule of the upcoming events within the framework of bilateral contacts and international structures, primarily the United Nations.
The leaders agreed to increase cooperation between the two countries in trade, industry, agriculture and transport, and to hold a rich program of business and cultural events next year.
Also, in the telephone conversation with the acting President of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Mamytov, the issues of consistent strengthening of Uzbek – Kyrgyz friendship, good-neighborliness and multifaceted partnership were considered.
Mamytov expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the great support and practical assistance in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic, including the implemented projects for the construction of mobile medical centers in the regions of Kyrgyzstan.
The sides discussed the importance of consolidating bilateral cooperation in trade, economy and industry. The need to develop regional transport corridors was noted.
