Issuing tinting permits brings over 302 billion soums to State Budget
Tinting the front and rear windows of cars is carried out on a fee-for-service basis in accordance with a relevant government resolution. One should obtain a special permit to use the service.

According to the Traffic Safety Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, from August 5, 2019, to December 31, 2019, 31,367 permits were issued for 113.9 billion soums. In 2020, the number of issued permits reached 50,758, bringing 188.3 billion soums.
At present, tinting the rear side windows of vehicles costs 1 million 115 thousand soums (5 BCAs) for individuals.
The amount of payment for legal entities to tint the rear side window has not changed – 10 BCAs (2 million 230 thousand soums).
Also, the permit fee for tinting of all side windows is 50 BCAs (11 million 150 thousand soums) for individuals and legal entities.
The validity of the permit is 1 year.
