Murari Lal Jalan plans to open an airline in Uzbekistan.
A UAE-based entrepreneur Murari Lal Jalan is one of the proposed promoters of Indian Jet Airways and the founder of MJ Developers. He plans to open an airline in Uzbekistan, The Hindu Business Line writes.
The newspaper has at its disposal a document stating that Murari Lal Jalan is discussing with the government of Uzbekistan and Namangan region the construction of a new airport in Namangan, as well as the creation of a new airline with a full range of services.
It is expected that this will give impetus to the development of the aviation and tourism sectors of the country. In the first stage, it is planned to serve the countries of the CIS and the European Union. Murari Lal Jalan will be the majority shareholder of both the airport and the airline.
The airline is scheduled to launch in Q1 of 2021 with more than 25 aircraft with a mix of B737 Max, Airbus A330, and Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The airline will also have a charter aircraft company as its wholly-owned subsidiary to cater HNIs and Ultra HNIs, which will have a fleet of Bombardier, Hawkers, and Augusta aircraft and helicopters.
His company is involved in such major projects as Lake City, Minerva City, Namangan Square and others.
