Government imposes a ban on import of ozone-depleting substances

The National Program defines goals and strategic directions to eliminate the use of ozone-depleting substances (ODS). According to the program, the Cabinet of Ministers ensures the implementation of a unified state policy to regulate ODS consumption.

The National Program envisages the followings:

• termination of the import and export of ozone-depleting substances and the establishment of strict control in this area;
• formation of a database on the import and export of ODS and products in which they are present;
• creation of 6 new centers for the processing of ODS.
