Red Wings Airlines may launch flights from Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk to Uzbekistan
Red Wings Airlines is exploring the possibility of launching flights from Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk to the main cities of Uzbekistan on Russian SSJ 100 aircraft.
“Red Wings is considering the possibility of launching flights from Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk to the main cities of Uzbekistan, including the capital of the republic – Tashkent,” the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov said, TASS reports.
The minister noted that the management of the airline held the relevant negotiations with the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan at the INNOPROM exhibition in Tashkent.
“We see interest on the part of the republic in the development of air communication between the two countries. The company can effectively use the SSJ 100 aircraft for flights,” he added.
According to the official, the timing of the opening of such flights will depend on the restoration of air traffic and the issuance of permits by the Transport Ministry of Russia for specific routes.
