Coronavirus: 243 more people test positive, death toll reaches 639
On April 19, 243 more people tested positive for coronavirus in Uzbekistan, bringing the total number of cases to 87,225.
The Ministry of Health said 168 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 4 – in Karakalpakstan, 2 – in Andijan, 8 – in Bukhara, 3 – in Navoi, 4 – in Namangan, 13 – in Samarkand, 3 – in Syrdarya, 2 – in Surkhandarya, 2 – in Khorezm and 34 – in Tashkent region.
Reportedly, 1 patient died on April 19. The official death toll stands at 639.
So far, 84,533 people have recovered from the disease in the country.
Currently, 2,053 patients are being treated in hospitals, 238 of them are in serious and 109 – in critical condition.
