Number of enterprises in Uzbekistan with foreign capital surpasses 12 thousand

The absolute leader in the number of such enterprises in the republic is the city of Tashkent. The TOP-5 also includes Tashkent region, Samarkand, Fergana and Surkhandarya.

There are 12,239 enterprises with foreign capital in Uzbekistan – this is the data as of April 1, the State Statistics Committee said.

The absolute leader in the number of such enterprises is Tashkent (7,226). It is followed by Tashkent region (1,335), Samarkand (602), Fergana (465) and Surkhandarya (458).

The committee also named the number of business entities operating in the country (excluding farms and dekhkan farms) – there are 432,458 of them. Of these, 90,989 (21%) are private enterprises.

Tashkent is in the lead here too – 12,886 such enterprises operate in the capital. It is followed by Fergana region (11,131), Kashkadarya (9,509), Namangan (7,209) and Surkhandarya (7,188).
