Business Ombudsman examines legality of mass demolition of outdoor advertisements
The Business Ombudsman is studying the legality of dismantling advertising billboards in Tashkent.
“Given that the actions of local authorities cause dissatisfaction among entrepreneurs, the office of the Business Ombudsman decided to study the legality of these actions with the participation of responsible state bodies,” the press service of the organization said in a statement.
Earlier, it was reported that local khokimiyats of Tashkent began demolition of hundreds of advertising banners without any legal grounds.
Entrepreneurs even visited the reception office of Jakhongir Artykhodjayev. However, khokim said that he has never given such an order to local khokimiyats, and suggested entrepreneurs contact internal affairs bodies or protect their property in the prosecutor’s office and court.
Also, a video that depicts an entrepreneur telling how his billboard got removed has spread on social media.
