Fergana khokim instructs responsible persons to improve the condition of roads, prevent accidents

Today, May 11, the Fergana regional administration held an extraordinary meeting on the prevention of road accidents, elimination of existing problems in the sphere and coordination of tasks.

At the meeting with the participation of the regional khokim Khayrulla Bozorov, it was reported that a serious traffic accident occurred recently on the A-373 international highway. As a result of the accident, 6 people – members of two families – died and 4 people were hospitalized with serious injuries in the intensive care unit of the district hospital.

To prevent such cases, officials said, a working group will be formed to review the road signs, concrete barriers, traffic lights on route A-373, which connect the Valley provinces with Tashkent.

At the meeting, responsible persons were instructed to consider the issue of creating internal roads, in particular, sidewalks, to improve conditions for the movement of cyclists.
