State Testing Center comments on incorrectly collected money from applicants for admission exams
The State Testing Center announced in 2019 that applicants would be obliged to pay for taking admission exams to public universities. However, due to misinformation and uncertainty about who should pay and who should not, a certain amount of money was collected incorrectly from those who did not have to make a payment, including applicants taking the exam for the first time after graduation.
So far, 156.3 million soums of the incorrectly collected money have been returned to the owners, but another 740.1 million soums remain at the disposal of the State Testing Center (STC), as they have not received any claim from applicants on the return of the money.
SMS reports were sent to 3,100 applicants, it was impossible to reach the remaining 4,300.
“The STC is ready to return the funds to the applicants, the money will be refunded as soon as they apply,” the statement reads.
