More than 17,000 Uzbeks left the country to work abroad in 2021

Since the beginning of the year, more than 17 thousand Uzbek citizens left their home country to work abroad, reports the Agency for External Labor Migration.

It is noted that during 5 months of 2021, the agency assisted 17,350 citizens to find jobs in foreign countries. Including:

  • 15 126 in the Russian Federation;
  • 1,795 in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • 420 - in South Korea (through a Ye-8 visa and re-establishment of an employment contract);
  • 7 - in the UAE.

The agency held negotiations with 259 potential employers and recruitment agencies in the external labor market and found 69,808 vacant jobs.

Also, 24,616 citizens decided to study in professional centers of Uzbekistan, the report said.
