SkyUp may operate regular flights between Uzbekistan and Ukraine
The low-cost airline has already received permission from the Ukrainian regulator, but it still needs permission from Uzbekistan.
SkyUp received permission from the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine to operate regular flights to Uzbekistan.
On June 10, the Ukrainian regulator allowed the low-cost airline to fly from Kiev to Samarkand and Urgench once a week. These rights will be valid from June 12, 2021 to March 25, 2023.
In order for SkyUp to start flying on these routes, the company still needs to obtain permission in Uzbekistan. If this happens, then regular flights between the countries will resume for the first time since 2015.
Spot previously wrote that SkyUp began flying between Tashkent and Kiev every week, but these are charter flights, not regular ones. However, tickets are sold freely.
