Russian company to service aircraft engines in Uzbekistan

JSC “UEC-Klimov” (part of the United Engine Corporation of Rostec) and the State Enterprise “Chirchik Aviation Repair Plant” have entered into a general agreement on organizing an after-sales service system for TV3-117 engines and main gearboxes VR-14, the press service of the UEC reports.

Under the agreement, JSC “UEC-Klimov” will supply the necessary equipment, parts and assembly units for performing medium repairs of power plants, as well as provide a certified technical team of specialists. In turn, SE “Chirchik Aviation Repair Plant” will provide production facilities for the organization of the Center for Medium Repair and equip it in accordance with the established requirements. 

The General Agreement takes into account the partnership between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, including in the field of helicopter maintenance, the importance of maintaining the health of Russian-made helicopters and the parties’ interest in expanding the service network in Central Asia.

The agreement on the part of JSC “UEC-Klimov” was signed by the executive director Alexander Vatagin. 

“The document regulates not only the procedure for performing work on the repair of “UEC-Klimov” aircraft engines, but in fact, determines strategic interaction in terms of studying, systematizing and disseminating best practices in the field of after-sales service, searching for and introducing progressive scientific-technical developments and the latest technologies, which are necessary for development of the service direction in the aviation industry of both countries,” Vatagin said.

The director of the enterprise, Akmal Suvanov, became the signatory of the state enterprise “Chirchik Aviation Repair Plant”.

State Enterprise “Chirchik Aviation Repair Plant” is a leading enterprise of the Republic of Uzbekistan for overhaul and modernization of civil aviation equipment: Mi-8, Mi-8MT, Mi-8MTV-1, Mi-17 helicopters, as well as repair of equipment, components, units and systems, measuring instruments and control-testing equipment.
