Zangiota Hospital Director addresses Uzbek citizens
Anvar Khusanov, head physician of the Zangiota Infectious Disease Hospital No. 1, made a video appeal to the population.
His appeal was published by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
“I decided to address you as a medical professional, as I consider it my duty. Currently, there is an increase in the number of patients with coronavirus around the world. A similar situation is observed in Uzbekistan: the number of patients is growing. Unfortunately, our hospital receives patients with a very serious state of health. Very many of them listened to the advice of people who know nothing about virology, some were treated online, some took antibiotics and did hormone therapy. However, after 5-6 days, as a result of self-medication, their state of health worsens. Dear compatriots, if you notice a sign of coronavirus at home, please contact your clinic or specialists. Call 103 or 1003. Please talk to the specialist. The disease is still developing, take care of yourself and your loved ones,” he said.
In addition, Anvar Khusanov denied that there is a shortage of drugs and medicines in the Zangiota Infectious Diseases Hospital.
“There are various claims on social networks, telling that the hospital has a shortage of drugs, and doctors give patients a list of drugs to buy. As a doctor and head of this hospital, I am obliged to inform you that the government fully provides us with the necessary medicines and medicines,” he said.
In his video message, the head physician showed the warehouse of a medical institution.
