Permanent population of Uzbekistan increased by 13.9 million people in 30 years

The permanent population of Uzbekistan was 20.6 million people in 1991, the State Statistics Committee says.
The figure has increased by 13.9 million over the past 30 years.
As of January 1, 2021, the permanent population of the republic amounted to 34.5 million people. In July, the number reached 35 million.
Reportedly, the growth rate was 101.9%.
In January-July 2021, the population of the country increased by an average of 50.2 thousand people per month or by 1.7 thousand people per day.
