Coronavirus and pneumonia: Nearly 1,200 new cases reported
On August 24, 834 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 357 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 151,517 (+834).
Reportedly, 237 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 85 – in Karakalpakstan, 38 – in Andijan, 19 – in Bukhara, 35 – in Jizzakh, 17 – in Kashkadarya, 15 – in Navoi, 23 – in Namangan, 86 – in Samarkand, 24 – in Syrdarya, 33 – in Surkhandarya, 78 – in Fergana, 25 – in Khorezm and 119 – in Tashkent region.
8 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,043.
As of August 24, the number of recovered stands at 144,304 (+909).
Also, 357 people tested positive for pneumonia on Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases to 21,791. According to the Ministry of Health, 325 of them recovered yesterday (14,328 in total).
4 pneumonia patients died on August 24, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 152.
