Coronavirus: Infection cases drop below 800 for first time in months
On August 29, 795 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 303 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 155,639 (+795).
Reportedly, 231 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 86 – in Karakalpakstan, 30 – in Andijan, 16 – in Bukhara, 21 – in Jizzakh, 20 – in Kashkadarya, 14 – in Navoi, 23 – in Namangan, 68 – in Samarkand, 25 – in Syrdarya, 28 – in Surkhandarya, 85 – in Fergana, 33 – in Khorezm and 115 – in Tashkent region.
5 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,075.
As of August 29, the number of recovered stands at 147,903 (+660).
Also, 303 people tested positive for pneumonia on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases to 23,464. According to the Ministry of Health, 291 of them recovered yesterday (15,988 in total).
2 pneumonia patients died on August 29, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 168.
