Coronavirus and pneumonia: Daily infection cases drop to 1,000
On September 1, 736 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 266 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 157,872 (+736).
Reportedly, 238 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 82 – in Karakalpakstan, 23 – in Andijan, 13 – in Bukhara, 21 – in Jizzakh, 10 – in Kashkadarya, 11 – in Navoi, 22 – in Namangan, 58 – in Samarkand, 19 – in Syrdarya, 32 – in Surkhandarya, 72 – in Fergana, 27 – in Khorezm and 108 – in Tashkent region.
5 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,093.
As of September 1, the number of recovered stands at 149,767 (+494).
Also, 266 people tested positive for pneumonia on Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases to 24,175. According to the Ministry of Health, 258 of them recovered yesterday (16,834 in total).
3 pneumonia patients died on September 1, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 177.
