Uzbekistan, Italy to cooperate in delivery of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan
Today, September 4, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio.
According to the MFA press service, the talks focused on cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade-economic and other spheres. The sides also exchanged views on the forthcoming second ministerial meeting “Italy – Central Asia”, which is scheduled to be held in Tashkent at the level of foreign ministers.

The Italian side also thanked Uzbekistan for its assistance in organizing the evacuation of citizens of European countries and other countries in Afghanistan. In addition, Uzbekistan and Italy expressed readiness to continue cooperation in this area, including in the delivery of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
