The Russian Federation expects President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s visit by the end of the year, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Andrey Rudenko said on Monday in Tashkent.
“We are preparing for the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan, which, we hope, will take place this year,” he said at the Valdai Club conference titled “Russia and Uzbekistan in the Face of Development and Security Challenges at a New Historical Stage of Interaction”.
According to Rudenko, a package of important documents has been prepared. “This includes agreements in the field of trade and economic interaction, as well as defense. We hope that this visit will become a strategic milestone in our relations,” he noted.
