Bekabad city administration’s official arrested while receiving $5,000 in bribe
Reportedly, an official of the Bekabad city administration has been arrested on fraud charges.
According to the SSS press service, an official of the Bekabad city khokimiyat of Tashkent region demanded $5,000 from a citizen on the list of “Women’s Book”. In return, he promised to “help” the citizen with the allocation of a two-room house on the balance of the khokimiyat.

When he received the requested money, officers of the Tashkent Regional SSS Department and the Regional Prosecutor’s Office detained him.
It was added that criminal proceedings have been instituted against the wrongdoer under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. An investigation is underway.
