Coronavirus and pneumonia: More than 600 new cases reported
On September 24, 508 people were diagnosed with coronavirus, 107 with pneumonia in Uzbekistan.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of registered coronavirus cases has reached 171,588 (+508).
Reportedly, 226 COVID-19 cases were registered in the city of Tashkent, 36 – in Karakalpakstan, 9 – in Andijan, 7 – in Bukhara, 9 – in Jizzakh, 4 – in Kashkadarya, 6 – in Navoi, 7 – in Namangan, 52 – in Samarkand, 15 – in Syrdarya, 15 – in Surkhandarya, 21 – in Fergana, 3 – in Khorezm and 98 – in Tashkent region.
6 COVID-19 patients died yesterday, the official death toll – 1,218.
As of September 24, the number of recovered stands at 166,013 (+731).
Also, 107 people tested positive for pneumonia on Friday, bringing the total number of cases to 26,818. According to the Ministry of Health, 464 of them recovered yesterday (24,866 in total).
2 pneumonia patients died on September 24, and to date, the number of deaths from pneumonia is 223.
