Vaccinating children above 12 years of age against coronavirus allowed in Uzbekistan 

According to the press service of the Health Ministry, the decision on vaccination was approved by the chief state sanitary doctor and the national technical immunological examination of Uzbekistan.  

Pfizer’s overseas clinical trials in children aged 12 to 15 have shown high efficacy and safety, the report said.

The department also recalled that minors over 12 years of age can only be vaccinated with Pfizer after the consent of their parents or guardians. Children will be required to undergo an appropriate medical examination.

The other day in Uzbekistan was delivered over 1.2 million doses of Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.

It should be recalled that at the end of July, Uzbekistan approved a law on compulsory vaccination.

Previously, Deputy Head of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Wellbeing and Public Health Service Nurmat Otabekov named categories of citizens who are banned from receiving COVID-19 vaccines.
