Statistics Committee provides data on the number of teachers in Uzbekistan

As of January 1, 2021, Uzbekistan had a total of 664,771 teachers, the State Statistics Committee said in a report.

Of them:
477,775 are women
186,996 are men

The total number of teachers by type of education:

106,814 – in preschool educational institutions
508,250 – in general education institutions
3,693 – in academic lyceums
6,466 – in vocational schools 
3,685 – in colleges
3,193 – in technical schools
32,070 – in higher education institutions
