Turkey provides Uzbekistan with COVID-19 vaccines and medicines

On October 8, an agreement was signed between the governments of Uzbekistan and Turkey on gratuitous assistance in the healthcare field.

According to the document, the Turkish side is sending 200,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines to Uzbekistan, as well as 20,000 boxes of Favipiravir medicines, Dunyo reports.

“On behalf of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the agreement was signed by the Ambassador of our country to Turkey Alisher Agzamkhodjayev, on behalf of the Republic of Turkey – Deputy Minister of Health Khalil Eldemir,” the message says.

It is noted that this batch of vaccines and medicines is sent as a sign of friendship and goodwill from the Turkish side to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
