Construction of new airport completed in Sokh district
The construction of an airport in the Sokh exclave in Kyrgyzstan has been completed.
As the press service of the regional administration reported, the regional khokim of Fergana Khayrullo Bozarov got acquainted with the new airport.
“The construction of a new airport in Sokh has been completed. Test flights will take place in the coming days,” the report reads.
It should be recalled that in August 2020, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ordered to organize small aircraft flights between Fergana and Sokh district.
7 hectares of land were allocated in the Navobod mahalla for the construction of a new airport. 6.8 billion soums were allocated from the state budget for construction. The length of the runway of the air harbor is 700 meters.
Within the framework of the project, a modern complex has been created, including an airstrip, a waiting room, a food court, a retail outlet and recreational facilities.
