A woman and her two children died from carbon monoxide poisoning in Samarkand
In Samarkand, a woman and her two children died of carbon monoxide poisoning, the spokesperson for the Prosecutor General's Office Hayot Shamsuddinov said.
The incident occurred on October 29, at 12:30 am.
Reportedly, the body of a 38-year-old resident of the Chumchukli mahalla, Urgut district and her minor children were found by the relatives.
One of the deceased children was 5 years old, the other was 11. Also, another 9-year-old child was hospitalized.
The preliminary cause of the incident was a gas leakage from a homemade stove. The district prosecutor’s office initiated a criminal case under Article 259 (violation of fire safety rules), Part 2, Subparagraph "a" of the Criminal Code.
